Rabbits, birds, "pocket pets," and reptiles require specialized care with special equipment, from a veterinarian with a special interest, and a staff that has been properly trained to handle these pets with a minimum of stress.
Because we do not consistently have the right personnel combination on staff, we refer all of our "exotic" patients to the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas, in Grapevine. They treat everything from Amazon parrots to wallabies, and do a great job!
