Seasonal Concerns

Let's face it, folks, it's that time of year again. Temperatures in the upper 90's to low 100's mean heat-related illness for our pets, as well as for us. We see a huge spike in heat stroke when the temperature suddenly increases. This might seem like a no-brainer, but you might be surprised at how easy it is to underestimate the damage that heat does. Brachycephalic breeds (those adorable, smash-faced dogs, like bulldogs, pugs, Pekes, shih tzus, etc) have an even harder time getting rid of the heat. Please don't leave any dogs in the car for any period of time!
